WHEDA Update
Smokin'
hot off the press: WHEDA has posted their
"estimated" rates.
As of
today the 30 year fixed interest rates are available at
5.75% assuming a less than 20% down payment.
Remember,
there is NO PMI with a WHEDA loan and qualified buyers are able to
purchase a single family home with $1000 of out-of-pocket costs.
Another
announced change to the WHEDA program deals with the frequency of interest rate
changes: Previously the WHEDA rates would change on a weekly basis. WHEDA rates will be subject to DAILY changes,
not to mention intra-day changes.
This is
an critical piece to consider as the Mortgage Professional who is working with
WHEDA buyers MUST be proficient in understanding the nuances of interest-rate
market changes and be able to guide a buyer accordingly.

than ever the value of a Mortgage
